The two diagrams follow separate audio estimates: sustained harmony and the prominent note at the current instant. Dense mixes, vocals and inversions can confuse the detector. The note diagram can follow the voice, bass or another instrument; it is not a complete note-for-note transcription. When no note is clear, its keys or strings stay unlit.
Chord evidence is averaged over detected beats. Steady mode suppresses changes shorter than about two beats; Detailed follows faster changes and Relaxed holds harmony longer. Rests can interrupt a held chord. If no pulse is detected, time-based smoothing is used and BPM stays unassigned.
Transpose changes the audio and diagrams together. Slower playback preserves pitch. Simple chords removes seventh extensions; it is a practice approximation and does not rewrite the recording.
Guitar uses standard tuning. Numbers suggest fretting fingers: 1 index, 2 middle, 3 ring, 4 little. ○ means an open string, × means mute.
